General Cigar Co. Increases Prices for 2022

General Cigar Co., one of the largest companies in the premium cigar industry, increased its prices last Monday, Jan. 10.

A spokesperson for the company says the new pricing increased the MSRPs of General’s cigars by 5 percent on average. General and Forged Cigar Co., a sister entity, have one of the largest catalogs of brands in the premium cigar space. Combined, the two are responsible for selling CAO, Cohiba, La Gloria Cubana, Macanudo, Partagas and others in the U.S.

In the last 45 days, many cigar companies have announced price increases, oftentimes citing increased costs related to raw materials, labor and/or transport and logistics.
