Gurkha Cigar Group will be keeping the pricing of the vast majority of its portfolio the same in 2022, with only two of its sampler packs undergoing an increase.

Those two samplers are the Gurkha Red Sampler, which features some of the company’s Nicaraguan cigars, and the yellow Gurkha Cellar Reserve sampler, both of which are increasing their MSRPs from $37 to $43. Each sampler, which is packed in a sealed, humidified bag for freshness, contains six toros. The Cellar Reserve includes single cigars from the Cellar Reserve 15 Year, Cellar Reserve Limitada 15 Year, Cellar Reserve 15 Year 10th Anniversary, and Cellar Reserve 18 Year lines, and two cigars from the Cellar Reserve 21 Year line.

“Although suppliers have increased prices due to shortage of tobacco and production, Gurkha has decided to absorb those increases on our end at this time so that the retailers don’t feel the impact,” said Jim Colucci, president of Gurkha Cigars, via a press release.

The company’s other samplers will be remaining at their existing prices.

The following chart is a live look at what companies have announced price increases or no price increase for 2022.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
