Sinistro Announces Price Increase for Majority of Its Portfolio
Sinistro Cigars has announced that is has implemented a 5 percent increase to the majority of its portfolio, with just a handful of products not changing prices. Those items are the La Fabrica series, the Lancero and Destro samplers, and the Mr. Candela line.
“The price increase is a direct result of cost increases related to tobacco, packaging, boxes, bands, etc.,” the company wrote in an e-mail sent to halfwheel. “James (Agopian) and I (Coleman Fine) both come from the retail side. We do our best to keep costs low for retailers and consumers. We’ve had our costs increase five times over the last few years. We absorbed those costs and had lower margins, having only three price increases to our retailers.”
The increases went into effect on February 1.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories.
