The newest vitola for the VegaFina Nicaragua line is a 5 1/2 x 48 robusto extra. Next month, it will go on sale in Spain with an MSRP of €7.20 per cigar.

Despite both having “Series 2” in their names, the two cigars are quite a bit different. One is a new vitola for the line previously known as “Fortaleza 2” and another is a dual-wrapper cigar that isn’t a barberpole.

It’s the first limited edition VegaFina release for Switzerland.

Altadis U.S.A. says it has received a small shipment of VegaFina Year of the Dragon cigars. They will head to stores next month.

Most VegaFinas aren’t ever offered to the American market, but this new release is an exclusive for the U.S.

VegaFina was founded in 1998, meaning this year marks the 25th anniversary of the brand.

Most cigars are aged for 30-90 days, these cigars were aged for 10 years after rolling.

The company says the blend is designed to start mild and finish full-bodied.

The VegaFina Nicaragua Reserva is a Nicaraguan puro with tobaccos aged for three years, which is actually one year less than the regular VegaFina Nicaragua.

It’s the first box-pressed VegaFina ever.
