The Kristoff TAA Exclusive 2023, a 6 1/4 x 60 vitola that the company calls a “cut perfecto,” has begun arriving at retail members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America.
The blend features an Ecuadorian shade-grown wrapper over a binder from Nicaragua and four Dominican fillers. Like many Kristoff cigars, it is being made at Tabacalera von Eicken, the factory formerly known as Charles Fairmorn.
“The TAA Exclusive redefines the meaning of a full-flavored, mild cigar,” said Glen Case, Kristoff’s founder, in an email to halfwheel when the cigar was announced in March. “Made with a pristine Ecuadorian shade grown wrapper, this cigar delivers notes of vanilla, delicate notes of spice, cream and a sweet nutty finish.”
Like many releases for the TAA’s Exclusive Series Program, production of the Kristoff TAA Exclusive TAA 2023 is limited, with just 1,000 boxes of 20 cigars produced. Individual cigars are priced at $13.
Kristoff is one of nearly 20 companies who created exclusive cigars or products for the TAA this year, a group of manufacturers that includes CLE, Crowned Heads, Ferio Tego, Forged Cigar Co., General Cigar Co., Gurkha, J.C. Newman, Joya de Nicaragua, La Palina, Miami Cigar & Co., My Father, Plasencia, Rocky Patel, Quality Importers Trading Co., Quesada, Tatuaje and Villiger Cigars North America have created releases for the TAA this year.
