La Palina is releasing a new figurado in its White Label line for retail members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA).

The cigar measures 5 1/4 x 52 and has a tapered foot. As for the blend, it uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. La Palina is producing 1,000 boxes of 20 cigars, a total run of 20,000 sticks, each of which come with an MSRP of $10.50. The company has not disclosed what factory is producing the cigars.

While the La Palina White Label was first announced in 2020 as a line exclusive to TAA retailers, it wasn’t released until August 2021. It debuted in a 6 x 50 toro vitola, and then at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show, the company expanded the release to be available to all retailers. It also added two new sizes, a 5 x 52 robusto and a 7 x 50 Churchill.

La Palina expects the new figurado vitola to begin shipping the cigars in late April.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
