While three of the five vitolas in the new line are regular production, the lancero and box-pressed toro are limited editions. The box-pressed toros were made exclusively for retail members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA).

The first 300 of 1,000 boxes are heading to the roughly 80 TAA member retailers across the country. A Brazilian maduro wrapper highlights the blend that the company calls a 4 out of 5 on the strength scale.

The newest release in the company’s bat-themed Muricelago line takes flight today. If the name sounds familiar, it was made famous in a movie nearly 30 years ago.

Only 7,500 cigars were produced for the release, which will be available at about 80 retailers across the country. The company calls the profile a medium-plus-bodied cigar, rich in complexity, with flavors of pepper, spices, earthiness, and cocoa.

After working together on a Year of the Snake release, Gurkha and Oscar Valladares team up for a new limited edition. It’s a Honduran puro slated to ship in January.

The new cigar is on the fuller end of the spectrum highlighted by a Brazilian maduro wrapper. it also uses the cut perfecto vitola that the company has used for several other limited editions.

The Murcielago line gets a new blend with a lighter Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper. That wrapper and the white bands that the cigar wears earned it the nickname “the white bat,” while its name comes from a fictional white bat in a 1995 movie.

The company says that the 6 x 54 figurado offers a new way to experience the Honduran puro. Only 500 boxes of 10 cigars are being produced for the release, which is scheduled to ship to retailers later this month.

The company is producing a limited edition release for some of the top retailers in the U.S. It is due out in November.

TAA 2024 begins on Sunday and Joya de Nicaragua’s new exclusive for the Tobacconists’ Association of America will be on shelves before the end of the week. It’s a 6 x 60 version of the company’s 55th anniversary cigar.

For the 11th year in a row, Tatuaje released a limited edition for the Tobacconists’ Association of America, which includes some of the largest cigar retailers in the U.S. It’s tied for the longest and thickest release in the series.
