A few weeks after they were scheduled to begin shipping, Sinistro has begun shipping its two new limited editions: The Last Cowboy Maduro Barberpole and Cowboy Caviar.

The Last Cowboy Maduro is a new extension to one of Sinstro’s core lines, using Connecticut broadleaf maduro and Dominican candela wrappers to give the cigar its signature look. Underneath that is a Mexican San Andrés binder and a filler that uses Nicaraguan tobacco along with Dominican piloto cubano. It is produced by El Artista and offered in three sizes:

  • Sinistro The Last Cowboy Maduro Barberpole Lancero (7 x 38) — $10 (Box of 20, $200)
  • Sinistro The Last Cowboy Maduro Barberpole Robusto (5 x 54) — $11 (Box of 20, $220)
  • Sinistro The Last Cowboy Maduro Barberpole Toro (6 x 56) — $12 (Box of 20, $240)

The company is releasing 250 boxes of both the robusto and toro, while the lancero is limited to just 150 boxes.

The Last Cowboy deubted in October 2018, adding a limited edition version in February 2019. The Last Cowboy Maduro debuted in March 2019, with another limited edition released in September 2023.

Also en route to stores is Cowboy Caviar, a new limited edition with a blend of a Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper, an Indonesian binder, and a filler that uses Dominican tobacco, including T13 ligero, along with Nicaraguan-grown ligero.

It is offered in two sizes, both of which are limited to 200 boxes:

  • Sinistro Cowboy Caviar Robusto (5 x 54) — $10 (Box of 20, $200)
  • Sinistro Cowboy Caviar Toro (6 x 52) — $11 (Box of 20, $220)

Cowboy Caviar is also produced by El Artista in the Dominican Republic.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
