When he retired after the 2016 season, there seemed to be little doubt that David Ortiz would be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. That happened in 2022, and two years later, a cigar line has been released to celebrate the accomplishment.

Originally scheduled to be released in September, Sinistro’s two new releases were delayed by the dockworkers’ strike and two hurricanes. Now, they are heading to retailers.

Sinistro’s highest-end offering made its third appearance at the end of 2023. It’s a blend built around a decade-old wrapper leaf that undergoes a unique fermentation process.

Not only was Mike Tyson one of boxing’s greatest fighters, but he crossed over to become an icon of pop culture. This summer, his legend grew a bit more with a new cigar line.

Sinistro’s newest releases are produced by El Artista in the Dominican Republic. Both blends feature American-grown broadleaf wrappers.

The Gurkha 35th Anniversary line debuted in the fall of 2023, released in a 150-count humidor. Now, the three vitolas are available in 10-count boxes.

This was first Chinese Zodiac calendar-themed release from Gurkha, but definitely not its last.
