Powstanie, Fosforo Increasing Prices on March 1, 2024

Pospiech, Inc.—the distribution company for Chogüí, Fosforo, Powstanie and others—has announced that two of the companies it distributes will increase prices effective March 1, 2024.

Powstanie prices will increase between 6-20 percent. The company says that the increases apply to all of the regular production Powstanie SKUs and that the changes are based on price increases from Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A., the factory that produces all of its cigars.

Also increasing is Fosforo, though those increases amount to around 5 percent. Fosforo’s cigars are made at Garmendia Cigars Co. and Tabacalera Segovias de Estelí.

Most cigar companies will only adjust pricing once per year. Typically, those changes are enacted at the start of the new year, though some companies announced price increases in Q3 of last year.
