The Powstanie San Andrés is coming, but it won’t be the next new cigar from the company. Until now, enjoy photos via Skip Martin.

In the spring of 2023, Powstanie added a 5 1/2 x 46 corona gorda as the fifth size in its core lines, the Habano and Broadleaf. After a year of rest, the time has come to revisit the skinniest size in the line.

This is the fifth vitola in the company’s third regular production line.

Powstanie’s SBC limited edition gets its fourth installment, named for 2022 but released at the end of 2023.

Justice is served.

For the longstanding fans of Powstanie, this might be a familiar “new” cigar.

While Fosforo’s price increases are around 5 percent, Powstanie is increasing between 6-20 percent.

“This could possibly be the greatest blend Skip has ever created,” — Mike Szczepankewicz, co-founder of Powstanie.

Powstanie waited eight years to release a new regular production line. In the words of The Strokes, this is it.

The actual War Bear may be long dead, but the cigar that bears its name is back after a year hiatus.

Just because it’s 2023 doesn’t mean there won’t be a new SBC.
