While seemingly every cigar publication creates some sort of list of what it thinks the best cigars to smoke were in a given year—we have one of those too—we think it’s also worth shining a light on the prettiest boxes the cigars come in. Technically, it’s not just boxes, nor is it simply about being the prettiest. Like in years past, the packaging items that make the list do so not just because they are the most aesthetically pleasing, but also because of creativity, innovation and execution.
Like last year, we’ve tried to reduce the number of disqualifying factors for a potential nomination. It likely allowed one of these finishers—specifically the 10th place finisher—to be eligible for this list, something that might have not been the case in other years.
