Last month, La Galera released its Year of the Dragon cigar in Asia. Starting next month, the cigar will head to stores in Europe and the U.S.

The La Galera Year of the Dragon is a 6 x 52 toro that uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over binder and filler tobaccos, including criollo 98 and piloto cubano. All of the filler tobacco comes from the company’s farms in Canela and Jacagua, Dominican Republic; the company says that all of it was aged for at least five years. As with all La Galera cigars, it is rolled at Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic.

The MSRP is set at $38 per cigar and production is limited to just 2,024 boxes of 10 cigars.

Davidoff, General Cigar Co., Gurkha, Habanos S.A., Oliva, Maya Selva, Plasencia, Rocky Patel, United Cigars and Vega Fina have also announced Year of the Dragon-themed cigars.

Update (April 3, 2024) — Added more blend info.
