Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Increasing Prices on March 15
Effective Friday, March 15, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust will increase the prices of some of its products.
Because roughly half of the company’s products aren’t increasing in price, the increases amount to an average of just 1.5 percent. The largest increase was to the Umbagog Corona Gorda, which is going to go up 7.69 percent.
“I figure at this point given that most companies have already waxed poetic in a million different ways about why there are price increases, I will not bore you with it again,” said Steve Saka, founder of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, in an email to retailers announcing the increase. “Bottomline: Everything is costing more… The good news is the rampant cost increases of the last 3 years have started to stabilize.”
Most cigar companies will only adjust pricing once per year. Typically, those changes are enacted at the start of the new year, though some companies announced price increases in Q3 of last year. Below is a list of companies that have announced whether they will have a price increase in and around the start of 2024.
