The Trinidad Robusto Extra is, once again, coming back.

Habanos S.A. has announced that in celebration of the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary, the Cuban cigar giant is bringing back the Trinidad Robustos Extra.

Habanos S.A. discontinued the Robustos Extra in 2012 but announced in 2020 that it would come back in limited form for the travel and duty-free retail channels, meaning you could find the cigars in airports but not at traditional cigar stores.

Now, the 6 1/10 (155mm) x 50 toro—Habanos S.A. classifies this as a double robusto—will once again be a regular production offering. The cigar will be offered in both 3- and 12-count boxes, and the cigars will carry a secondary band that marks the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary.

Habanos S.A. announced this cigar as part of the annual Festival del Habano XXIV, which is taking place in Havana, Cuba, this week. Historically, the company uses the event as a time to announce its upcoming releases, some of which may not ship to stores until after this year. Pricing and release date have not been announced.
