Eight lots sold for €17.8 million ($19.3 million), shattering the previous record of €11.2 million in auction sales set last year. As expected, a Cohiba humidor was the top lot, setting a record of its own at €4.5 million.

The midpoint day of the Festival included Master Lectures, cigar pairings and a formal, sit-down dinner dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Quai d’Orsay brand.

The unofficial start to the 24th Habanos Festival.

After skipping releases for 2022 and 2023, Habanos S.A.’s Colección Habanos series—large, expensive cigars that come in boxes designed to look like books—returns with a new San Cristóbal de La Habana.

This release is limited to just 200 humidors of 50 cigars.

Habanos S.A. will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Quai d’Orsay with an event this week in Havana. The star of the show will be the new Especial d’Orsay.

Sources have told halfwheel that these cigars were once targeted as 2022 Edición Limitada cigars, then 2023 Edición Limitada cigars. They will in fact be 2024 Edición Limitada cigars.
