Illusione is once again embracing the idea of secrecy and mystery for its newest line, the Group of Five. As the band says, whispering tongues are treachery.

Citing increased demand, the company is adding two limited edition sizes for non-U.S. markets. While the blend remains the same, the bands get an updated color scheme.

While the company has thus far declined to disclose many specifics on the blend of the 5 x 52 limited edition, Illusione has said that the cigar uses a type of tobacco that hasn’t recently been grown in Nicaragua. In addition, the company noted that the tobacco had been “Primed and bale aged” for three years.

This is the second release for the Menelik Corona Gorda. The first was in 2022 as an exclusive for The Humidour Cigar Shoppe in Cockeysville, Md.

In 2018, Arsenio Ramos—the longtime blender for AGANORSA—passed away. This year, as a tribute to the man who spent six decades working with tobacco, the company has created a new line with Ramos’ name and portrait.

Both cigars measure 5 x 52, are made by AGANORSA and have an MSRP of $16.95. Blend-wise, they both include a type of tobacco that hasn’t been grown in Nicaragua in recent years.

This is the first Firecracker from AGANORSA Leaf.

At 4 1/2 x 46, it’s the smallest size of AGANORSA Leaf’s JFR Connecticut line.

The first shipment of the 6 x 54 Perfecto was limited to 15,000 cigars packaged in 10-count boxes.

Four years of rest seems to have delivered the cigar I was looking for back in 2020.

A trio of limited edition vitolas will soon be on store shelves.
