Ramón Allones Noellas Arrives in Italy

There is a new Edición Regional on store shelves in Italy today, the Ramón Allones Noellas, which is being released in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the distributor, Diadema S.p.A.

The cigar is a corona vitola that measures 5 1/5 inches (132mm) long with a 42 ring gauge. It comes packaged in decorative glass jars of 25 cigars, with production limited to 4,500 individually numbered jars. That makes for a total run of 112,500 cigars, with pricing set at €20 ($20.01) per cigar and €500 ($500.38) per jar.

The Edición Regional program is offered by Habanos S.A. to its various distributors around the world. Each year, distributors can select one cigar to be commissioned for their region, though there have been exceptions when some distributors have been able to select more than one. Those cigars must come from a brand that was not part of the company’s former “Global Brands” group—Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, H.Upmann, Hoyo de Monterrey and Partagás—and must be a size that is currently not offered in that specific brand.

Edición Regional cigars are signified by a secondary red and silver band that reads Edición Regional followed typically by the name of the region represented by that specific distributor. In this case, the Ramón Allones Noellas wears a modified band the indicates it being released for Italy as well as that it marks the 20th anniversary of Diadema S.p.A.

Oftentimes the cigars do not arrive at stores during the year they are selected for, sometimes multiple years later; in this case the Ramón Allones Noellas is part of Habanos S.A.’s 2020 group of Edición Regional releases. Diadema S.p.A. is the distributor of Habanos S.A. products in Italy, Vatican City and San Marino.
