Edición Regional

As the world turns its eyes to Paris for the Olympics, a new, limited-production cigar celebrates the Games. The cigars come dressed with a foot band and bound with a ribbon, two things not commonly found on Edición Regional releases.

The Saint Luis Rey La Cuna measures 6 7/10 x 43. It’s priced at less than $25 per cigar and limited to 100,000 total cigars.

The cigar measures 7 9/16 (192mm) x 40, a vitola known as a Laguito Especial, which happens to be the same size as the legendary Trinidad Fundadores.

There have been hundreds of different Edición Regional releases from Habanos S.A. Without question, the most unique packaging of the series was 2008’s Bolívar Armonía. In keeping with the eight theme, it’s time for a redux, nearly eight years to the day after the first review.

The island gets its seventh Edición Regional release this month.

Although it was announced as part of the 2021 Edición Regional release, the Dragones starting showing up at retailers in the Belux region—which is comprised of the two countries of Belgium and Luxembourg—in June.

With 500,000 cigars being released, this is one of the largest Edición Regional releases in history.
