A Vietnamese company has been given access to 3,500 hectares of land in Pinar del Río. Yes, the same Pinar del Río that is Cuba’s most prized tobacco-growing region.

Habanos S.A’s Réplica de Humidor Antiguo series debuted in 2006, releasing a large-format cigar in a humidor designed to replicate a vintage one. Announced in 2017, the El Rey del Mundo Império didn’t debut until April 2019, and it’s the most recent to be released, despite four more having been announced since.

Over the history of the La Gloria Cubana brand, the Glorias name has been used for at least three different cigars. In this case, it was for an Edición Regional released for Germany in late 2016.
