The latest exclusive for retailers part of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) is on its way to stores.

On Monday, La Flor Dominicana shipped the TAA Exclusivo 49, a 6 x 54 box-pressed version of last year’s TAA Celebration, an event-only cigar used at TAA events. This means the blend has a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper over a Cameroon binder and Dominican fillers.

Suggested retail pricing is $9.90 per cigar and it will come in a 25-count box.

The TAA is a fairly small group of some of the country’s top tobacconists, about 80 retailers as well as 40 or so manufacturers. The association gathers annually to discuss issues facing the industry and retailers, as well as to have its annual trade show, a unique event that works on a group buying format in order to secure exclusive deals for these generally high-volume merchants.

La Flor Dominicana will once again have a special TAA celebration cigar available only at events promoting the TAA Exclusivo 49. It will come in 10-count boxes and use a  natural wrapper, though the company isn’t disclosing the blend beyond that.

Alec BradleyAsylumKristoff, La Palina and Tatuaje have also announced their 2017 TAA releases. Crowned Heads and My Father have already shipped their TAA releases for 2017.
