Tatuaje TAA 2014 Returns for 2017 Release

Last year, the Tatuaje TAA 2012 returned as the 2016 release.

This year, the Tatuaje TAA 2014 will return.

It’s a 6 x 52 parejo using a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The blend is based off the Tatuaje Pork Tenderloin and Barclay Rex.

Pricing will be $11.95 per cigar or $239 per box of 20. Pete Johnson of Tatuaje said he does not know how many cigars will be produced. In years past, production has been directly related to the orders placed by retailers at the annual Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) Meeting & Convention which begins later this month.

The TAA is a fairly small group of some of the country’s top tobacconists, about 80 retailers as well as 40 or so manufacturers. The association gathers annually to discuss issues facing the industry and retailers, as well as to have its annual trade show, a unique event that works on a group buying format in order to secure exclusive deals for these generally high-volume merchants.

In recent years, many of those manufacturers have made exclusive cigars for the organization.

So far, only Crowned Heads and Tatuaje have announced its 2017 TAA release.
