Add Kristoff to the list of manufacturers producing exclusive cigars for members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA).
The cigar is appropriately called the Kristoff TAA Exclusive 49. It’s a 7 1/2 x 56 salomon that uses a Honduran habano criollo wrapper, a Dominican habano binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan habano fillers.
Kristoff describes the cigar as medium in strength.
Pricing is set at $11 and the cigar will begin shipping nationally in April.
The TAA is a fairly small group of some of the country’s top tobacconists, about 80 retailers as well as 40 or so manufacturers. The association gathers annually to discuss issues facing the industry and retailers, as well as to have its annual trade show, a unique event that works on a group buying format in order to secure exclusive deals for these generally high-volume merchants.
In recent years, many of those manufacturers have made exclusive cigars for the organization.
Alec Bradley, Crowned Heads, La Flor Dominicana and Tatuaje have also announced their 2017 TAA releases.
