There will once again be a Winston Churchill Limited Edition.

The new Davidoff Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2021 is a 6 x 52 toro that uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Dominican hybrid 257 binder and five filler tobaccos:

  • Dominican Piloto Ligero
  • Dominican Hybrid 20-20 Seco
  • Dominican San Vicente Mejorado Ligero
  • Dominican San Vicente Viso
  • Nicaraguan Estelí Viso

It is priced at $32 per cigar and limited to just 4,500 boxes of 10 cigars for the U.S. market.

Davidoff says it will begin arriving at stores in February, though some international markets might receive later launch dates.

“Sir Winston Churchill was an exceptional man whose personality had so very many facets of brilliant talents, from statesman to commander, from author to painter – a unique character of its time,” said Edward Simon, chief marketing officer at Oettinger Davidoff AG, in a press release. “Usually, these personalities transform into mere history book figures, but not Sir Winston Churchill who still today is one of the most renowned and appraised public figures of the 20th century. At Davidoff we are humbled and excited to bringing to life the many dimensions and stories of this incredible leader, artist and writer while Sir Winston keeps carrying such deep inspiration to the world of today.”

The cigar carries a similar look to the Davidoff Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2019 The Traveller Robusto, though the boxes are different. While that cigar had wrapped boxes that were designed to function as humidors, the 2021 release uses a different layout and has artwork that is supposed to mimic a chessboard.

There was no limited edition Winston Churchill release in 2020.

In addition, Davidoff will launch two accessories for the Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2021 release. The first is a tabletop torch lighter that incorporates a dual flame into a concrete base with gold accents. It is made in Europe and limited to 600 pieces.

Pricing is $290.

There is also a French-made porcelain ashtray that uses the logo. It is being produced by Artoria Limoges and limited to 700 pieces. Pricing is $250.
