Cigars Davidoff

After releasing a cigar for each of the 12 symbols on the Chinese Zodiac calendar, Davidoff is starting the calendar over again with a new Year of the Snake. For this release, there are three different cigars.

In 2014, Davidoff introduced the Oro Blanco, a $500 halo cigar that was made with tobacco aged for more than a decade and rolled by its best rollers. Later this month, the new version of Oro Blanco will ship. Price: $750 per cigar.

This is the fourth and final release of Davidoff’s History Re-Rolled Series, a line that debuted last year made up of cigars Davidoff had previously discontinued but brought back as limited editions. The filler of the blend includes seco from San Vicente that was aged for six months in spent casks that previously held premier grand cru classé red wine from Bordeaux, France.

Eleven years ago, Davidoff entered a new chapter of its storied history, embracing Nicaragua and its tobacco. Ten years later, the company celebrated that event with a cigar; now that cigar gets a revisit.

This is the fourth and final release of Davidoff’s History Re-Rolled. Rather than rereleasing a discontinued cigar, Davidoff turned to a new concept: Grand Cru + Diademas Finas.

After eight years of being on hiatus, the cigar returned in April with a new blend and new look.

At one of the company’s flagship store in Manhattan, the price works out to roughly $200 per cigar.

This vitola was once a limited edition that was only available for sale in international markets is now a regular production release that can be purchased in the U.S.
