In addition to the Montecristo Brilliantes, an all-new cigar, Habanos S.A. has a special humidor that celebrates the Year of the Dragon.

The Cohiba Tributo is a limited run of Elie Bleu humidors that each contain 55 Cohiba Lanceros. The cigars are the standard Cohiba Lanceros, a 7 9/16 (192mm) x 38 lancero, but they do feature special foot bands. Just 128 numbered humidors will be released, and they will be exclusive to the Asian region, though it remains unclear where within Asia the Tributo humidors will be sold.

“China is one of the most important markets for our business, along with the entire Asia Pacific region,” said In the words of José María López Inchaurbe, vp of development for Habanos S.A., and Jorge Pérez Martel, commercial vp for Habanos S.A., in a press release. “For such a special occasion, we wanted to count on Cohiba, the most renowned Habanos brand worldwide, and its most iconic vitola, Lanceros, but we have also collaborated with Elie Bleu, an added value that guarantees the exclusivity, tradition and beauty of these humidors.”

Pricing has not been announced.

In addition to this humidor, there are also special Year of the Dragon humidors containing either Cohiba Shorts or Trinidad Shorts, though those humidors are being sold to markets worldwide.

In addition to Habanos S.A., Davidoff, General Cigar Co., Gurkha, La Galera, Oliva, Maya Selva, Plasencia, Rocky Patel, United Cigars and Vega Fina have also announced Year of the Dragon-themed cigars.
