Altezas Reales 1871—a relatively new brand made at El Titan de Bronze in Miami—has announced that it has increased prices, effective July 1.

The new pricing for the company’s debut line is as follows:

  • Altezas Reales 1871 Corona (5 3/4 x 48) — $19.90 (Box of 10, $199)
  • Altezas Reales 1871 Toro (6 x 52) — $22.50 (Box of 10, $225)
  • Altezas Reales 1871 Robusto (5 x 50) — $19 (Box of 10, $190)

Overall, it’s an average increase of 17.6 percent.

Rafael Cifuentes III, the company’s founder, said that the manufacturing costs for the cigars have increased by an even greater amount.

The brand debuted less than a year ago. Cifuentes III is a member of the family that once owned the Partagás brand. He said he designed the cigars to taste like Partagás Serie D No. 4s from the 1990s.

Most cigar companies will only adjust pricing once per year. Typically, those changes are enacted at the start of the new year, though some companies announced price increases in Q3 of last year. Below is a list of companies that have announced whether they will have a price increase in and around 2024.
