For those that don’t know, the merger would place General Cigar Co.’s domestic brands (Cohiba, Macanudo, Punch, Partagas, La Glorica Cubana, etc), CAO and JR Cigars under the same roof. The deal was announced early in the year and is stil being finalized. In other large merger news, there’s a bit of speculation over a takeover of Imperial Tobacco Group.
