In 2020, J.C. Newman released Yagua, a cigar that doesn’t look like any other cigar on the market. Then again, many Yaguas don’t like many Yaguas.

For decades, the charity started by the Fuente and Newman families has provided free education to students in Bonao, Dominican Republic. The new arts buildings are the latest expansion at the 23-acre campus.

The new sampler marks the first release for J.C. Newman’s new Angel Cuesta Shade and Tampa Smokers line. There are 500 samplers, only available at TAA stores.

It’s like a car configurator for cigar blending. For roughly $30 per cigar, J.C. Newman will roll your own cigar blend for you.

In celebration of J.C. Newman’s 130th anniversary, the regular Diamond Crown line will be getting a packaging update. In addition, the Diamond Crown Classic No. 9 will become a regular production vitola.

The series named for famed American artist—and cigar smoker—LeRoy Neiman received its second installment this summer. While the blend remains the same as the 2023 version, the size and artwork are new for 2024.

A vintage cigar posted served as the inspiration for this new size, called a soft perfecto. Diamond Crown Cigar Lounges will have it first, while a widespread release is slated for early 2025.

The Brick House Bricktoberfest returns for 2024 in nearly identical to last year’s release. In addition, consumers who buy seven Brick House cigars from participating retailers between Sept. 16-Oct. 31 are eligible to receive a free ceramic mug.

With the 2024 Summer Olympics starting on Friday, J.C. Newman needed to start shipping the cigars this week. This year’s release comes with a lithograph of Neiman’s “Left Bank Cafe” (1987).

This is the third year in a row that J.C. Newman has teamed up with Brizard & Co. to create a limited edition cigar case for The American brand. When these case were announced in the spring, J.C. Newman said they would not ship until November.

In 2023, J.C. Newman released 40 humidors that used wood that was once the Staples Center floor used for the 2011 NBA All-Star Game. Inside of those humidors was an exclusive size of The American, fittingly called the All-Star.
