HVC Hot Cake Fresh Out of the Oven Broadleaf will return to stores in mid-February. Both sizes are limited to 350 boxes.

With this year’s release, it means HVC has released a full decade of Black Friday cigars. For 2024, the HVC Black Friday gets some filler tobacco from the island of Ometepe.

This year’s release features tobacco from Ometepe in the vitola popularized by the Cohiba Siglo VI. It will be on shelves before Halloween, let alone Black Friday.

This is the third consecutive year that HVC has introduced a new Selección No.1 blend. The new Selección No.1 Connecticut is offered in the same three vitolas as the Maduro and Natural versions.

On Thursday, there’s a launch event at Two Guys Smoke Shop in Salem, N.H. HVC will begin shipping the cigar to other stores next week.

There’s one new line, the HVC Selección No.1 Connecticut, and one new extension, the HVC Hot Cake Golden Line Half Corona.

The HVC Hot Cake Golden Line is getting its smallest and least expensive vitola to date.

For the second year in a row, HVC is introducing a new version of its Hot Cake line. It will ship to stores in July.

The third HVC Selección No. 1 blend will use an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper.

The new size is a 4 1/2 x 52 short toro. It is limited to a production run of 9,000 total cigars.

It’s been nine years and 10 cigars celebrating one of the United States’ most celebrated “holidays.”
