The 2024 release of Alec Bradley’s Fine & Rare marked the 14th installment of the line created to show that 10 tobaccos could be successfully used in a blend. It’s also likely the first one developed by the Scandinavian Tobacco Group team since the acquisition of Alec Bradley in 2023.

Filthy Ghooligan is a Halloween spin-off of Alec Bradley’s traditional St. Patrick’s Day cigar. The barber pole toro was released in limited quantities in mid-September.

Thew newest Fine & Rare is a 6 x 54 toro extra that uses tobacco from two regions of Honduras and two regions of Nicaragua. As with the original Fine & Rare, the concept remains using 10 different types of tobacco throughout the cigar.

The Chunk is now its own line. It’s offered in five vitolas, though two of them are limited.

Not only did Scandinavian Tobacco Group acquire the existing Alec Bradley brands, but seemingly the blend book of Alan Rubin, founder of Alec Bradley. That book became the source for the company’s newest cigar.

The Halloween-themed cigar is a spin-off of Alec Bradley’s Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock, which are limited edition cigars released annually to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. However, unlike those two blends, the Black Market Filthy Ghooligan does not include candela tobacco as part of its barber pole wrapper design.

While Alan Rubin is no longer involved into the day-to-day operations of Alec Bradley, his blend book was the source for this new release.

The new line is made at TABOLISA, home of many of Oliva Cigar Co.’s offerings.

This is one of the last blends developed by Alan Rubin, founder of Alec Bradley, and Bradley Rubin, one of his sons, before Alec Bradley was sold to STG.

The green-striped cigars will be on store shelves in the coming days.
