In what has become a November tradition, the newest version of the Alec Bradley Fine & Rare collection is heading to stores.

Fine & Rare started in 2011 under Alec Bradley’s original ownership. At the time, the project was described as an ambitious undertaking centered around the idea of taking 10 different types of tobacco and blending them into a single cigar. The Alec Bradley Fine & Rare A(11)-FYT is a 6 x 54 toro extra that uses a criollo 98 wrapper from Trojes, Honduras over two binders: a corojo 99 leaf also from Trojes and a criollo 98 leaf from the Jamastran Valley.  There are seven different fillers:

  • Corojo 99 (Jamastran, Honduras)
  • Corojo 99 (Estelí, Nicaragua)
  • Corojo 98 (Trojes, Honduras)
  • Corojo 99 (Trojes, Honduras)
  • Criollo 98 (Estelí, Nicaragua)
  • Criollo 98 (Jalapa, Nicaragua)
  • Criollo 98 (Jamastran, Honduras)

Each cigar has an MSRP of $26.99 and production is limited to 1,500 boxes of 10 cigars.

“We are incredibly excited to continue the tradition of Fine & Rare with the new A(11)-FYT. The Raíces Cubanas team came together to develop a complex, intricate and satisfying smoking experience unlike anything produced before it,” said Bradley Rubin, brand ambassador for Alec Bradley, in a press release. “Fine & Rare is a marquee release for Alec Bradley, and A(11)-FYT delivers everything you could want in a premium cigar and more.”

This is likely the first Fine & Rare developed by Scandinavian Tobacco Group, which bought Alec Bradley in early 2023. Alan Rubin, founder of Alec Bradley, described last year’s Fine & Rare BCN-143 as one of the last blends he developed before selling the company.

Update (Nov. 5, 2024) — STG has clarified that the cigar also corojo 98 from Trojes, Honduras in the filler.
