Oktoberfest 2023 begins in a little more than three weeks, and Quesada’s cigar that celebrates the occasion is heading to stores.
The Quesada Oktoberfest 2023 uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Dominican binder and Dominican fillers. It’s the third consecutive year that Quesada has used these blend varietals for Oktoberfest; it’s also the third consecutive year that the Bavarian, Das Boot and Über sizes are being released.
This year’s line-up includes:
- Quesada Oktoberfest 2023 Bavarian (5 1/2 x 52) — $10.80 (Box of 10, $108)
- Quesada Oktoberfest 2023 Das Boot (6 x 52) — $11 (Box of 10, $110)
- Quesada Oktoberfest 2023 Über (6 x 65) — $11.80 (Box of 10, $118)
- Quesada Oktoberfest 2023 Salomon Press (6 3/4 x 50/33) — $14
There will be 500 boxes of each size of the first three sizes; Quesada is only offering the Salomon Press at events and not disclosing production numbers.
The Salomon Press size is not new, but Quesada has only used it for the Oktoberfest once before, in 2014. It is a double perfecto with round tapered ends on both sides of its nearly seven-inch long body; however, the center of the cigar features an aggressive box press.
Not only that, the thickness of the cigar shrinks dramatically in the press.
“This will be our third year developing the known Quesada Oktoberfest blend with beautiful Mexican, San Andres wrapper,” said Manuel “Manolo” Quesada Jr., in a press release when the cigars were announced in June. “People have loved this combination, and we really enjoy the pairing with the tobaccos used.”
Quesada says the Oktoberfest 2023 release is sold out.
