Quesada’s annual Oktoberfest cigar line will return in four vitolas this year, one of which will be an exclusive to CIGAR.com.
Like last year’s Oktoberfest 10th Anniversary release, this year’s blend will use a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic. Also like last year, there will be three sizes—the same three as the 2021 release—that are offered to stores nationwide.
The notable change this year is that the Prost, a 5 1/2 x 56 vitola, will be an exclusive to CIGAR.com’s Elite Advantage program, a loyalty program. Quesada says that 300 packs of 10 cigars will be offered to Elite Advantage platinum members.
- Quesada Oktoberfest 2022 Bavarian (5 1/2 x 52) — $9.50 (Box of 10, $95)
- Quesada Oktoberfest 2022 Das Boot (6 x 52) — $9.95 (Box of 10, $99.50)
- Quesada Oktoberfest 2022 Über (6 x 65) — $10.85 (Box of 10, $105.50)
- Quesada Oktoberfest 2022 Prost (5 1/2 x 56) — $10 (Pack of 10, $100)
Both the Das Boot and Über vitolas increased 5 cents per cigar compared to 2021, the Bavarian size did not increase in price.
Quesada says the U.S. will receive 800 boxes of each size for this year’s release, which is scheduled to ship in September.
“I am extremely pleased with the 2022 Oktoberfest,” said Manuel “Manolo” Quesada Jr., president of Quesada Cigars, in a press release. “It’s a blend made for this release, and I am certain it will please all smokers with or without beer.”
The Quesada Oktoberfest 2022 will be shown off at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place July 9-12 in Las Vegas.
