Italian retailers will soon be receiving a new cigar from Punch that does not wear the brand’s classic red band.

The Punch ManTua is a 6 x 38 petit lancero, officially 152mm in length, with a pigtail cap. Its name is a reference to a city in Pinar del Río, Cuba, which itself is named after an Italian ship of the same name that crashed near the city in 1605.

It will come packed in cabinets of 50 cigars, limited to 2,500 units. Diadema S.p.A., the Italian distributor of Cuban cigars, has not announced an official price for the cigar. It features a black band with the Punch logo, a combination that looks rather similar to the La Esepción releases that have previously been Italian regionals.

The Punch ManTua is officially part of the 2018 Edición Regional program, though as is often the case, the cigar is arriving at a later time.
