Isn’t it nice not to have chaos in your booth. That’s what I said to Vlada Stojanov when I saw him in a Lampert booth. Unlike Stojanov’s previous trade show booths, there was only one brand in this booth: Lampert. I was admittedly surprised not to see Stojanov’s own brand, Somm, on display but not trying to cram three companies into a 10 x 10 is the right move.
In January, Stojanov launched Somm alongside an announcement that his Bespoke Co. would no longer be the U.S. distributor for Casdagli. Seemingly coinciding with those moves is a stronger partnership between Stojanov and Lampert Cigars. When I was in the booth, I said hello to Stefan Lampert, founder of Lampert, but he was quickly pulled away to talk to a retailer while Stojanov talked me through Lampert’s new products.
As for the booth, it was an island located along one of the main walkways, albeit towards the middle or back of the show. The booth primarily used what I believe to be rented trade show cabinets, but they actually work excellently for photographing products. As I mentioned in my write-up of the Fratello booth: I think this is a booth that would have benefited by having different colored flooring so that the booth could feel more isolated from the walkway.
This is the main new launch for Lampert at PCA 2023. As the name implies, retailers needed to place orders for the cigars in-person during the trade show. It is produced at Julián Sued & Compañía in the Dominican Republic. This has already begun shipping to stores.

Lampert 1675 Edición Morado Short Robusto
The Lampert 1675 Edición Morado debuted earlier this year in two vitolas and at just 10 retailers. At the time, the company said there would be a Short Robusto size added later on, which is now slated for fall. Like the Edición Azul and Edición Rojo, the Morado is made at the Ortez family’s AgroIndustrial Nicaraguense de Tabacos S.A. factory in Condega, Nicaragua. Morado is Spanish for purple, and the boxes look a bit more purple than the picture above, though it’s certainly not an indigo color. Pricing is not finalized, but it’s targeted at $9 per cigar.
