The Alec Bradley booth is a bit scaled down this year, but still retains much of the same feel as years past, with its signature red overhead banner helping to easily identify it amidst the show floor, and a squared-off design with two open sides beckoning retailers from the aisles.

As for what was inside, the company joined in with several other brands in releasing a limited edition cigar just for retailers who attended the show, as well as showing off the new 24-count packaging format that will begin rolling out in the coming weeks. Other than that, one line is getting a new set of names for its vitolas.

Alec Bradley Tempus & Tempus Nicaragua — New Vitola Names

The vitola name of the Alec Bradley Tempus & Tempus Nicaragua lines will be changing in the coming weeks, as the company is shedding names like Centuria, Imperator and Magistri in favor of more traditional names like robusto and gordo. Nothing else about the cigars—well, other than the box count as noted below—is changing, as the company just wanted to make the vitola names a little easier to remember.

Packaging Change to 24-Count Boxes

Alec Bradley is moving its 20-count boxes to 24-count boxes, a move that the company says will save enough money to prevent it from having to increase prices in 2021.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
