On Monday, May 8, Micallef Cigars began shipping two new vitolas for its Leyenda line.

The Micallef Leyenda Robusto (5 x 52, $10.50) and Toro (6 x 52, $11.50) debuted at events in March, but this week marked its formal release. Blend-wise, it uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua. Both cigars are offered in 25-count boxes.

“I can’t wait to get this cigar in the hands of cigar lovers,” said Al Micallef, the company’s founder, in a press release. “These new Leyenda’s are smoking great. I am so proud of the work coming out of our factory. This is the best cigar we’ve made so far.”

The release of the two new vitolas brings the total number of Leyenda sizes to six; three of the first four sizes are non-parejos.
