LUJ Luxury Cigars has announced plans to release the third installment of its Edida line next week, a line that traces back to its first release 2011 with a subsequent release in 2013. This time however, the Edida is getting a new size, which will be the only one released in this installment.
Luj Oluyeba told halfwheel that he will begin shipping a 5 1/2 x 52 robusto on March 23, with the cigar priced at $9 per stick before taxes and packed in 20-count boxes. Tabcalera El Artista in the Dominican Republic is manufacturing the cigar, which uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Pennsylvania, Colombia, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
The line has previously been released in three sizes, a Toro (6 1/2 x 54), Robusto (5 1/2 x 54) and Corona (6 x 46). Oluyeba said that production numbers of this latest release will remain uncapped, as the Edida is returning to his portfolio as a core production line.
