The five blends in the Jake Wyatt Cigar Co.’s Gourmet Line will once again be offered in 5 x 48/68 perfecto vitolas. Later this month, the company is releasing 500 samplers that will contain one of each of the five blends, all of which are produced at Tabacalera JVM:

  • Appendix II, which uses a Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with Mexican San Andrés maduro accents, a Dominican binder and Dominican filler.
  • Fourth Dimension, which features a Dominican habano rosado with Dominican candela accents over a Dominican binder and filler.
  • Herbert Spencer, which uses a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper with Ecuadorian Connecticut accents over a Dominican binder and filler.
  • Lucid Interval, which has a Dominican candela wrapper over a Dominican binder and filler.
  • U.S.I.R., which uses a Dominican habano rosado wrapper with Mexican San Andrés maduro accents atop a Dominican binder and filler.

The Jake Wyatt Gourmet Line Perfecto Sampler has an MSRP of $80.

This is the second time this particular vitola has been released for these blends. In 2020, the company used the size as a limited edition follow-up to the L.E. 2019 release in each of the five core lines.

This is the second time that Jake Wyatt has released a sampler containing each of its Gourmet Line blends in the same size. Last year, the company released a limited number of the Gourmet Line Limited Assortment Lancero Sampler before making the lancero size a regular production vitola for each line earlier this year.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
