Jake Wyatt Cigar Co. has announced that it will be adding a corona vitola to the five blends that make up the company’s Gourmet Line, and it will be showing them off at the Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE) in mid-May.

That means that a 5 1/2 x 44 size will be coming to the following lines:

  • Appendix II
  • Fourth Dimension
  • Herbert Spencer
  • Lucid Interval
  • U.S.I.R.

Regardless of the blend, the vitola will have an MSRP of $9.95 and will be offered in 22-count boxes, which will begin shipping to retailers at the end of May. The corona will be the fifth size in each of those five lines as well, as they are all offered in a robusto (5 x 50), toro (6 x 54), gordo (6 x 60) and a belicoso (6 x 52).

Jake Wyatt Cigar Co. launched in February 2020 and produces all of its cigars at Tabacalera JVM in Tamboril, Dominican Republic. In addition to the Gourmet Series the company produces an annual limited edition, and has added a new line called Lithium that will be getting a full release this summer.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
