In 2023, General Cigar Co. introduced the El Rey del Mundo Shade Grown in three vitolas, two of which are regular production offerings and the third was a limited vitola. Now, the line is getting its third full-time size.

The new El Rey del Mundo Shade Grown Churchill is a 7 x 48 Churchill made entirely of Honduran tobacco, capped off by a Connecticut-seed wrapper that is grown in the Talanga Valley. The line is made at STG Danlí in Honduras.

Each cigar has an MSRP of $6.89 and it is offered in boxes of 20. It will begin shipping on Monday, Feb. 3.

This is the fourth vitola for the line.

“We’re pleased to expand the Shade Grown line with a classic Churchill size,” said Ed Lahmann, senior brand manager for El Rey del Mundo, in a press release. “Shade Grown delivers a remarkable smoking experience at a compelling price point, and we know fans will love how the blend performs with this new frontmark.”
