Drew Estate will once again be revealing a new cigar line by way of its online Freestyle Live event and has begun shipping out the associated event packs containing a sampler of unbanded cigars from the line being announced.

Each of the new Freestyle Live event packs contains four of the new cigars, though without bands or other identification. The packs also contain a Freestyle Live four-cigar case, a torch lighter, and a cigar rest. Each Freestyle Live pack also includes a Freestyle Live badge with a QR code, which allows purchasers to enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win prizes during the live event, which is scheduled for June 8 from 7-9pm EST on Facebook and YouTube,

In addition to announcing the new line during the Freestyle Live event, Drew Estate will be giving away a luxury watch valued at $10,500, as well as $6,000 in airfare that can be used to plan a trip for two people to anywhere in the world. Additionally, 10 participants will win a longboard created by Subculture Studios.

Three retailers who carry the Freestyle Live event kits will also win credit from Drew Estate towards future orders.

“Freestyle Live is dope, plain and simple,” said Jonathan Drew, co-founder and president of Drew Estate, via a press release. “It’s even more dope when Mystery Packs are included as an ‘announcement’ or ‘unveiling.’ People go bananas trying to guess what it could be. I love it.”

The event packs retail for $40 and can be purchased at participating retailers nationwide.

Drew Estate has used its Freestyle Live events to announce the Undercrown 10Nica Rustica Adobe, 20 Acre Farm, and Blackened Cigars “M81” lines, as well as the Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo Phineas Gage Lancero, among other projects.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
