Unlike most of General Cigar Co.’s Cohiba cigars, which are made at the company’s factory in the Dominican Republic, Cohiba Serie M is produced at El Titan de Bronze in Miami, a small factory owned by Sandy Cobas.

Next month, the third size for the Serie M Line—and the largest to date—will begin shipping to stores. The Prominente is a 7 x 50 Churchill with an MSRP of $29.99; interestingly, that’s the same price as the first two releases. There will be 4,000 boxes of 10 cigars released.

It uses the same blend as the 2021 and 2022 releases: a Nicaraguan corojo wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos that include Dominican piloto cubano as well as Nicaraguan tobaccos from Estelí and Jalapa.

Like those cigars, the Cohiba Serie M Prominente will feature a closed foot and fan tail cap.

“Now entering its third year, Cohiba Serie M continues to captivate the premium cigar category,” said Sean Williams, brand ambassador for Cohiba, in a press release. “This brand has all the makings of a connoisseur’s cigar: it harnesses the collective blending expertise of El Titán de Bronze with the mastery of the Cohiba team and encapsulates some of the finest cigar making techniques in one cigar. Together with Sandy Cobas, we’re proud to release the blend in a new size, giving cigar connoisseurs another opportunity to experience the artistry of Cohiba Serie M.”

There are two Cohiba brands that have been the subjects of a more than 25-year-old legal dispute. General Cigar Co. sells Cohiba in the U.S., while Habanos S.A. sells Cuban-made Cohibas worldwide, though not in the U.S.

Update (March 16, 2023) — Corrected the spelling of Cobas.
