In 2021, Black Label Trading Co. released a unique sampler that contained new vitolas from its various bee-themed lines. Now, one of those vitolas is returning, but this time as an exclusive for Smoke Inn of South Florida.
The sampler was called The Hive, a hexagonal-shaped box that contained six different cigars in varying quantities for a total of 27 cigars inside. Inside each box, which was designed to mimic honeycomb, were four Black Works Studio Killer Bee Perfectos.
Now, there’s a second release of a Killer Bee in a perfecto shape. Earlier this week, the Black Works Studio Killer Bee Buzz Saw went on sale as an exclusive for Smoke Inn. It’s a 5 x 56 perfecto that uses an Ecuadorian maduro wrapper with Connecticut-seed accents over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Nicaragua.
It has an MSRP of $9.99 per cigar or $99.95 per box of 10 cigars.
There are a few differences between those cigars and the Buzz Saw. Beyond the name and release process, the Buzz Saw gets its own band. Furthermore, the Killer Bee Perfecto was listed at 5 x 60, whereas the Buzz Saw is a 56-ring gauge cigar. halfwheel has not measured the two cigars to see if they are actually the same ring gauge.
“Smoke Inn has been a big supporter of Black Works Studio, so we wanted to do something special with our first exclusive release,” said James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Co., in a press release. “The Buzz Saw perfecto was a fan favorite from the 2021 Hive release. This cigar is bold and very intense. The Buzz Saw is a great representation of the Killer Bee and definitely deserved an individual release.”
Buzz Saw went on sale on Monday, Sept. 23.
