The first day of winter is still a few weeks away, but the AVO brand’s limited edition cigar celebrating the season is set to be released tomorrow.

The AVO Seasons Limited Edition 2023 Winter uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and Dominican tobaccos for the binder and filler, with one of the tobaccos in the filler aged for 14 years. The profile is described as delivering herbal and woody notes along with creaminess and rich, warm hints of baking spice, according to a marketing materials from Oettinger Davidoff AG.

As with the previous three releases in the series that were released in honor of Spring, Summer and Fall, the Winter release is being released in a 6 5/8 x 50 diadema vitola, with each cigar having an MSRP of $18. This release will also be limited to 4,000 boxes of 10 cigars, which are priced at $180 per box.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
