The first box-pressed cigar for the Viva La Vida brand is now shipping to stores.

Artesano del Tobacco, the company behind the Viva La Vida brand, has announced the new Viva La Vida Club 500, a box-pressed 6 x 60 Nicaraguan puro with a habano oscuro wrapper.

Pricing is set at $13.80 per cigar and it is sold in boxes of 10.

Its name is a reference to the first 500 stores that have brought in the brand since it launched a year ago.

“We are honored and humbled by the support that we have received as we transitioned from the retail side of the business to the manufacturing and distribution side,” said the company in a press release. “We thank everyone who have embraced the Viva La Vida brand.”

Artesano del Tobacco is owned by Billy and Gus Fakih, two brothers who previously owned the Cigar Inn stores in New York City.

Viva La Vida is produced and distributed by AJ Fernandez.
