Villiger Cigars has unveiled the updated look to its Cuellar Connecticut Krēmē line, which is currently on its way to retailers across the country.
The change is fairly minor, but the company has added the Villiger logo to the branding, which it says is part of the company’s continuing efforts to streamline branding, The cigar also gets a slight name change, as it is now known as the Villiger Cuellar Connecticut Krēmē, which the company believes will help consumers better identify the Villiger family of products.
“This small change of adding the Villiger name on band and packaging, will help consumers better identify it as a Villiger brand,” said Rene Castañeda, president of Villiger North America, via a press release.
While the packaging and branding get an update, the blend and sizes remain the same as when the cigar debuted in 2014, with a Connecticut shade-grown wrapper covering a Dominican binder and filler. It is offered in four sizes:
- Villiger Cuellar Connecticut Krēmē Churchill (7 x 50)
- Villiger Cuellar Connecticut Krēmē Robusto (5 x 48)
- Villiger Cuellar Connecticut Krēmē Toro Gordo (6 x 54)
- Villiger Cuellar Connecticut Krēmē Torpedo (6 1/4 x 52)
Each of the four sizes are priced between $6 and $7 per cigar.
The company also announced a packaging update to its La Libertad line recently; that will begin shipping in January.
