Vector-KGM has begun teasing one of its new lighter releases for 2024, the Vector Switch, which will allow consumers to pick which kind of cutter they would like to have attached to their lighter.

The lighter portion of the Switch is a dual-flame torch operated via a single-action, two-paneled lid, with the two flames angled towards each other to create a merging point. As for the cutter, the Switch will come with two interchangeable attachments, one a serrated, guillotine-style cutter and the other a v-cutter. The company has not announced pricing or in what colors the Switch will be offered, other than to say that the colors featured in the teaser images are not the final colors.

As for when the Switch will be available, the company has not yet announced a release date, except that it is currently scheduled for early 2024.

Update (Jan. 29, 2024) — Vector-KGM has announced that the Switch is scheduled to be released on March 31, and will come with an MSRP of $60. Additionally, it will be offered in five colors: nickel satin, gunmetal satin, black matte, anodized blue matte, and chrome satin.

Update (March 28, 2024) — The launch date has been pushed back to April 3.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
