Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust’s StillWell Star LE Holiday Y2022, a limited edition released in 2022, is returning, but this time it will be sold under a different name.

While the name has been changed to StillWell Star Aromatic No. 22, the blend of the 6 x 52 toro is the same as when the Holiday LE Y2022: an Ecuadorian habano wrapper and a Mexican San Andrés negro binder with a filler blend that includes Cavendish burley and Virginia pipe tobaccos. However, unlike the Aromatic No. 1 vitola in the StillWell Star core line, the Aromatic No. 22 will not have a sweetened cap.

In am email, Steve Saka, founder of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, told halfwheel that each cigar would have an MSRP $15.95 and each 13-count box would have an MSRP of $207.40.

The Stillwell Star line debuted in late 2021 with a quartet of 6 x 52 toros, each of which is made with the same wrapper and binder but with different internal tobaccos, most notably, different types of pipe tobacco in the filler. The cigars were blended by Steve Saka of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust and Jeremy Reeves of Cornell & Diehl, and they are rolled at Fábrica de Tabacos Joya de Nicaragua S.A.

In a post on his Facebook page, Saka said that the StillWell Star Aromatic No. 22 will be shown off during the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, and boxes are scheduled to begin shipping to retailers in either April or May. Unlike the 2022 release, the Aromatic No. 22 will be a regular production cigar.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
